The party doesn’t start until Kesha walks in.

And the “Tik Tok” singer certainly got it started when she stepped out at The Viper Room in Los Angeles June 6. Clad in a sheer Simkhai x Wolford top and a black leather miniskirt with a daring slit, Kesha turned heads as she met up with friends—including Real Housewives of Beverly HillsKyle Richards and interior designer Ali Isaksen—at GLAAD and Posse Foundation’s Pride Month celebration.

The 37-year-old completed her daring ensemble with black pointed-toe heels that laced up to her knees, as well as oversized sunglasses.

Kesha sported a similar look earlier this week, though she opted not to free the nipple. In a mirror selfie shared to Instagram June 5, she rocked a black bra underneath her sheer blouse and matching short-shorts.

“I only drink when im happy and im drunk rn,” she quipped in the caption, prompting a follower to ask if she ever listens to her own music when she’s feeling tipsy.

Her response? “I sure do.”

Crop Tops That Are the Perfect Length, According to Enthusiastic Reviewers – E! Online

0

[ad_1]

There are a few current trends that I am loving right now. There’s wide leg pants, the balletcore aesthetic, and, of course, crop tops. Paired with high waisted jeans (also on-trend), they’re so cute and it’s a chic look that can go from day to night in a snap. However, the one thing I don’t always love about crop tops is the length. My stomach is a sensitive area for me (and I hate crunches), so I don’t want a cropped shirt that’s too short and makes me feel uncomfortable. If you’re like me, then have no fear. I’ve scoured through pages and pages of user reviewers to bring you the best crop tops with the best lengths. Shoppers rave “Short but no belly showing,” “perfect length,” “not too short, but not too long either,” and more, about all these shirts.

And because crop tops are so trendy right now, they’re everywhere and come in so many different styles. So, I’ve put together a mix of t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, long-sleeves, short-sleeves, and more, including a variety of fabrics, like waffle knit, pima cotton, sweat-wicking materials, and more. Ideal for the spring and summer months, but also for layering in the winter, these crop tops are stylish all year round. They’re even great for dressing up or keeping it casual. And best of all, some of them are on sale.

Trust me, and the countless reviewers who chimed in, these are the best crop tops out there. So, scroll down, start clicking, and start rocking these flattering cropped shirts.

‘Can roam the backend and go make plays’ Texans rookie safety Calen Bullock

0

[ad_1]

HOUSTON – Backpedaling smoothly with a relatively low pad level given his height, Texans rookie safety Calen Bullock reacted instinctively and broke on the football fast.

At 6-foot-3, 190 pounds with 4.48 speed in the 40-yard dash, Bullock is a rangy third-round draft pick from USC with a proven track record for picking off passes.

Where Bullock can continue to make strides is in the weight room and becoming a crisper tackler. What he doesn’t lack is talent. There’s a major upside to Bullock who’s off to an encouraging start with the defending AFC South champions as an initial depth piece on defense and an immediate boost to the special teams.

“Calen,, another rookie who’s come in and he’s done a really nice job of the communication piece,” Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said. “We ask a lot of our safeties and communicating in our defense. And Calen, yeah, he’s picked that up as he’s been here the past couple weeks.

“I know he’ll continue to improve upon his communication skills. But a guy who can roam the backend and go make plays, like he’s shown that. The range that he has, he’s made a couple nice plays out there for us. We see the coverage ability, it’s just him continuing to improve upon his communication.”

Signed to a four-year, $5.856 million contract that includes a $1.079 million signing bonus, Bullock was selected 78th overall as the Texans traded up to the Philadelphia Eagles’ original selection in exchange for the 86th and 123rd overall selections.

Bullock visited the Texans during the draft process. An All-Pac-12 selection, Bullock also visited the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons.

Bullock has nine career interceptions and returned two for touchdowns.

Bullock, a native of Pasadena, Calif., intercepted two interceptions last season and returned one for a touchdown. He had 61 tackles and seven pass breakups.

“You see just his ball skills, his range back there in the deep half of the field,” Ryans said. “It just stood out. He’s an exceptional play-maker, attacks the ball. That’s what we are about on defense. That’s what Bullock does. That’s what we’re looking for him to do for us.”

As a sophomore, Bullock was a second-team All-Pac-12 selection who intercepted five passes and returned one for a score. He started every game and had 48 tackles and five pass breakups.

In 2021, the converted cornerback was named co-Defensive Perimeter Player of the Year for the Trojans. He had 40 tackles and two interceptions in six starts, including three at free safety, two at nickel and one at corner.

“His production has been pretty significant,” Texans general manager Nick Caserio said. “He’s rangy. He covers ground, He plays the ball well. He has good movement skills for a safety. He started his career as a corner. Not saying he’s a corner, but he moves well for his size.

“Honestly, some of his best football probably is in front of him. He needs to get stronger. He’d be the first to tell you that. I think there’s some developmental opportunities with him relative to his frame. You are talking about a guy that moves well for his size, plays the ball, is instinctive, is an eraser in the deep part of the field. Has to improve as a tackler, which goes back to improving his playing strength. Hopefully our program will be beneficial to him in that respect. He’s still an ascending player.”

Dick Van Dyke becomes the oldest Daytime Emmy winner at age 98 for guest role on ‘Days of Our Lives’

LOS ANGELESDick Van Dyke has won a historic Daytime Emmy at age 98.

The actor was honored Friday night as guest performer in a daytime drama series for his part as amnesiac Timothy Robicheaux on Peacock’s “Days of Our Lives,” making him the oldest Daytime Emmy winner.

“I don’t believe this. I feel like a spy from nighttime television,” he said. “I’m 98 years old. Can you believe it? This really tops off a lifetime of 80 years in the business. If I had known I would have lived this long I would’ve taken better care of myself.”

“General Hospital” won four trophies, including its fourth consecutive honor as best daytime drama. It’s the second time in the ABC show’s 61-year history that it won four daytime drama trophies in a row.

Robert Gossett of “General Hospital” won supporting actor honors. The first cousin to the late Oscar-winning actor Louis Gossett Jr. was honored for the second straight year for his role as Marshall Ashford.

“General Hospital” also won the directing and writing categories.

Thorsten Kaye of “The Bold and the Beautiful” earned his second straight lead actor win for playing Ridge Forrester.

“I got to be very honest. I don’t like award shows. I didn’t like award shows until tonight,” he said. “The other thing that doesn’t make sense is that anyone can do this alone. You need a great boss who sees you and hears you. You need a cast that tolerates you. You need a whole village of people that have agreed that they’re not going to let you drown. I’ve have all of that.”

A clearly stunned Michelle Stafford of “The Young and the Restless” won best actress as Phyllis Summers, a trophy she first earned in 2004.

“I am honored to be an actor. It is the greatest gig. It is a privilege,” she said. “I’m honored to entertain people.”

Van Dyke received a standing ovation as he used a cane to make his way to the stage, accompanied by his wife, Arlene, who held the trophy.

“I brought this lady up because she was also on the show,” he said. “She played the cop who arrested me.”

Producer Norman Lear was 100 when he received his final Primetime Emmy nomination in 2022 and died the next year.

Van Dyke has won four Primetime Emmys, including three in the 1960s for his classic comedy series “The Dick Van Dyke Show.”

Van Dyke beat out last year’s winner Alley Mills of “General Hospital,” Australian actor Guy Pearce of Amazon Freevee’s “Neighbours,” Linden Ashby of “The Young and the Restless,” and Ashley Jones of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

“The Kelly Clarkson Show” continued its domination of the daytime show category with a fourth consecutive victory. The singer, who moved her show from Los Angeles to New York last year, was on hand to collect the trophy.

“The move has been so great, not just for me and my family but for our whole show,” she said, singling out NBC. “Thank you for thinking of mental health and not just a product.”

Courtney Hope, who plays Sally Spectra on “The Young and the Restless,” earned supporting actress honors. She originated the role on “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2017 before moving to “Y&R” in 2020.

Melody Thomas Scott, who has played Nikki Newman on “The Young and the Restless” for 45 years, and her producer-husband, Edward Scott, were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards. Scott worked on “Y&R” for years before moving to his current job on “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

“I can’t tell you how encouraging a thing like this is,” joked Thomas Scott, who made her acting debut at age 8 in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Marnie.”

Her husband told the crowd, “I promise to do my very best to try to continue to amaze you.”

The wife-and-husband team of Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos won daytime talk series host for their “Live with Kelly and Mark.” Ina Garten won best culinary series for “Be My Guest” on Food Network.

The ceremony honoring soap operas, talk and game shows aired live on CBS from The Westin Bonaventure hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

The 51st annual Daytime Emmys returned to their usual place on the calendar, just six months after the show’s 50th edition aired in December after being pushed back because of last year’s Hollywood writers and actors strikes.

Dodgers’ Kiké Hernández makes error in midst of live television interview during 2-1 win over Yanks

[ad_1]

NEW YORK – Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Kiké Hernández made an error while in the midst of a live television interview Friday night during a 2-1, 11-inning win over the New York Yankees.

Hernández had a microphone and earpiece in his left ear as he spoke with Wayne Randazzo and former pitcher Dontrelle Willis on the Apple TV+ telecast in the second inning. After talking about Hernández’s decision to wear colorful cleats and the atmosphere at Yankee Stadium, there was one out, no one on and a 1-2 count on Gleyber Torres when Willis asked: “You guys are (a) very close-knit ballclub. Where does that come from?”

Torres hit a grounder to third, prompting Willis to say: “After this play.”

The ball hit Hernández on his bare right hand and ricocheted off his groin. By the time the third baseman recovered and threw to first, Torres had crossed the bag.

Asked after the game whether the interview impacted him on the play, Hernández responded: “Maybe a little bit, but I think I let the ball eat me up. It had a weird hop.”

Hernández said he wouldn’t reconsider whether to do in-game interviews in the future.

“No, because we’re getting paid,” he said. “I like money.”

Baseball’s collective bargaining agreement calls for a player to receive a $10,000 stipend for wearing a two-way microphone for at least one inning of a regular-season game. The amount rises to $15,000 in the postseason.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he wasn’t aware Hernández was being interviewed while in the field.

About one minute after the error, following ball one to DJ LeMahieu on a pitch clock violation by Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Hernández said on the telecast: “What was the previous question, before I made that error?”

Responded Willis: “I don’t want to ask it again, because I don’t want you to boot the ball again, to be honest with you. I’ll take that E for you, big dog.”

Torres reached third on Trent Grisham’s two-out single but was stranded when Jose Trevino struck out.

Hernández then reached on an error by Torres when the second baseman dropped his popup to short right field in the third but was picked off by Cody Poteet.

[ad_1]

One Utah couple almost had to put a pause on their happily ever after.

Lydia Kessinger and her husband Alex Kessinger‘s April 24 wedding almost didn’t happen after Lydia was thrown from their truck bed the day before they said “I do.”

“As some of you know, the day before my wedding was pretty wild,” Lydia shared on her Instagram May 21. “Me and Alex loaded up a king size mattress to take to our new place. We both decided it was a good idea for me to lay on the mattress to keep it from blowing away.. well… it blew away.”

And not only did it blow away, it did so with Lydia still lying on top of it as Alex was driving about 50 miles per hour.

“I remember the mattress floating up with me on it and I remember screaming, flying in the air, and rolling on the asphalt,” she continued. “I remember Alex running after me after he stopped the car.”
