A 31-year-old was shot and killed Sunday night at a playfield in Dixmoor, according to the Cook County Forest Preserve Police.
Police said they responded to a cookout party at 14100 South Wood Street about 10 p.m. The Chicago resident was pronounced dead about an hour later. The Dixmoor Playfield is closed as the Cook County sheriff’s offfice investigates.
